Terms of Use

Vita Sancta helps you plan, pray and follow through. Your choices remain yours.

These Terms govern the Vita Sancta app and related services provided by David Rohrer, operating Vita Sancta. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. Contact support@vitasanctaapp.com for help. Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled.

Who may use Vita

You must be at least 18 years old to use Vita. It is designed for adults and is not a children’s service. Provide accurate account information, protect access to your account, and contact us if you suspect unauthorized use. Do not impersonate another person, share access to evade subscription requirements, or interfere with another person’s data.

Accounts, subscriptions and trials

Vita requires an authenticated account and an active paid subscription or an eligible store trial to access its paid features. Monthly and annual plans provide the same Vita feature access, including Digital Discipline. Prices, currency, billing period and any eligible trial are shown in the app and store purchase confirmation before purchase. Trial availability depends on the store’s eligibility rules and configured offer.

Subscriptions are purchased through Apple’s App Store or Google Play, not through this website. Unless you cancel in the relevant store before renewal, the subscription renews and the store charges the disclosed renewal price. An eligible free trial converts to the stated paid plan unless cancelled before its end under the store’s rules. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple or Google account; uninstalling Vita, signing out or deleting the Vita account does not cancel billing. Store rules and applicable consumer law govern refund requests and any price-change notices or consent.

Restore Purchases is available in Vita’s account settings and purchase screen. Use the Vita account and store account associated with your purchase. Subscription cancellation ordinarily leaves access until the verified paid period ends; expiry or revocation can end paid access. Temporary offline access is limited to the earlier of your verified subscription expiry and 72 hours after a trusted entitlement check. Some features, including Community, initial restore and synchronization, require internet access.

Your content and cloud backup

You retain your rights in the content you create. You give us permission to store, synchronize and process private content only as needed to provide and protect the service and as described in the Privacy Policy. When you publish a Community post, you also permit us to display it to Vita members and review, restrict or remove it under the Community Guidelines. This permission does not transfer ownership of your writing to us.

Save only content you are entitled to use. Do not upload confidential or identifying information about someone else without permission or another lawful basis. Cloud backup is designed to preserve your information, but network failures and conflicting edits can delay synchronization. Check the backup status before replacing or clearing a device. Do not treat a local change as backed up until synchronization confirms it.

Community standards

Community provides Prayer Intentions and Small Wins without comments, direct messages or public account identities. An optional first name and your own words can still identify you. Follow the Community Guidelines and use Report or Block when needed. We may hold posts, remove content or suspend abusive Community participation. Basic filters are imperfect and the service is not continuously monitored. You may appeal a moderation decision through support. An immediate safety emergency requires local emergency services, not a Community post.

Digital Discipline

Digital Discipline is an optional, user-directed tool. You choose the apps, allowances, schedules and overrides and grant or revoke operating-system permissions. Device settings, revoked permissions, operating-system limits and other environments may affect enforcement. It is not a guaranteed lock, parental supervision service or safety system. Do not rely on it to prevent dangerous behavior or restrict another person without their informed agreement. Any accountability PIN arrangement is voluntary; keep device recovery and essential services available.

Planning and Catholic resources

Vita is a planning and devotional aid, not medical care, therapy, financial or legal advice, sacramental ministry, or emergency support. Ratings and streaks are personal planning statistics, not measures of holiness or worth. Points and rewards have no cash value, are not transferable currency and do not represent purchases or prizes supplied by us.

Prayer materials are credited within Vita. External resources remain subject to their owners’ terms. Vita is not endorsed by the USCCB, the Holy See, Apple or Google merely because it cites their resources or uses their platforms. My Vita provides preset assistance; it is not an AI or human adviser.

Permitted use and intellectual property

We give you a limited, personal right to use Vita for its intended purpose while you meet these Terms and applicable subscription requirements. Do not resell access, bypass security or paid-access controls, scrape private information, upload malware, spam the service, infringe others’ rights, or use it unlawfully. Vita’s software, branding and original design remain ours or our licensors’; third-party/open-source notices remain applicable. Nothing here restricts rights that applicable law gives you.

Ending use and service changes

You may stop using Vita, cancel store billing, delete your posts or delete your account. Account deletion is described at Account Deletion and remains available without an active subscription. We may restrict an account where reasonably necessary for security, abuse or serious violations, with notice and a support/appeal path where appropriate. We may update features or these Terms and will give reasonable notice of material changes. We will not use changes to remove mandatory consumer rights.

Responsibility and consumer rights

We take reasonable care in providing Vita, but cannot promise uninterrupted availability, flawless synchronization, complete moderation or universal blocking effectiveness. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect losses or events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable statutory guarantees, fraud, willful misconduct or other non-waivable rights. Your local mandatory consumer protections remain available.

App-store terms

For an iOS download, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement applies to the software license unless a valid custom license is separately supplied. These service Terms govern Vita’s account and online features without reducing Apple’s required terms or your statutory rights. Google Play’s applicable terms govern the Android store transaction. Apple and Google are not responsible for operating Vita’s Community or private cloud service.
